What is cacao?
Theobroma cacao or ceremonial cacao is chocolate in it's purest form. Coming from the meso-amercian region where she has been used for generations in ceremony. Cacao is a sacred plant in these regions, offering heart opening experience. Cacao aka Mother Cacao is supportive in connection to self, your needs and community.
What is a cacao ceremony?
Cacao ceremonies are an opportunity to honor cacao, her spirit and all that she offers us. By showing our gratitude to her and those who have come before, we open up our hearts to receive and work with her as she supports our journey.
Ceremonies are held in a circle as a reminder that we are all equal. Coming together as a community to honor cacao first, so we can honor ourselves. Sipping cacao will take your heart on a journey of connection and love.
In my cacao ceremonies we will explore our intentions for gathering, move through gentle yoga practices, engage in story telling and discussion. There will be time for reflection and journaling before closing the ceremony.
